What each panel screens for

Who typically needs which
- 5-panel — most private-sector pre-employment and general random testing; it's the everyday standard
- 10-panel — healthcare, government, safety-sensitive roles, professional monitoring, and many court or licensing situations
Cost difference
A 5-panel is the more economical option (rapid screens start around $30). A 10-panel costs a bit more because it screens more substances (typically starting around $50). If you only need the standard screen, there's no reason to pay for the larger panel — and if you need the broader one, it's worth doing right the first time.
