Why choose a hair test
A standard urine test only detects recent use. Hair testing looks at drugs incorporated into the hair shaft as it grows, giving roughly a 90-day history from a small sample taken close to the scalp. Because it's difficult to adulterate and reflects a longer period, employers and courts often specifically request it when they want a fuller picture.
What hair testing is used for
- Employment β especially safety-sensitive roles and companies wanting a stricter standard
- Family court & custody β demonstrating sustained sobriety over months (see custody testing)
- Probation & legal cases β when the court wants a longer look-back
- Personal peace of mind β proving a clean history to a family member or program
Panels & what's detected
Hair panels commonly cover marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines/methamphetamine, and PCP, with expanded panels available for benzodiazepines, barbiturates and more. Every sample is analyzed by a certified laboratory and confirmed, so results are defensible if challenged.
Discreet, professional collection
Collection is quick and done under chain-of-custody with photo ID. A small amount of hair is taken close to the scalp; body hair can be used if head hair isn't available. Results are released only to you or the parties you authorize.
