How rapid testing works
A rapid test uses an instant screening device that reads the specimen on-site and returns a preliminary result within minutes. A negative result is available before you leave. If the screen is non-negative, the specimen is sent to a SAMHSA-certified lab for confirmation so nobody acts on a false positive.
When rapid testing is the right call
- Fast hiring β get a preliminary clear so onboarding isn't held up
- Personal peace of mind β a quick answer for your own knowledge
- High-volume events β screen a group quickly, confirm only the non-negatives
- Reasonable suspicion β an immediate on-site check when concerns arise
Accuracy & confirmation
Rapid screens are accurate for what they are β a preliminary indication. The gold standard for any consequential decision is lab confirmation, which we automatically apply to non-negatives. This two-step approach gives you both speed and reliability.
